CEO and Board Chairman

Rob Vazquez, a seasoned Information Systems professional with over 30 years of experience, is the CEO and Board Chairman of Beacon Technology Group. With 15 years specifically focused on security programming, Rob has led complex projects for super major multinationals, specializing in technical architecture and logistical efficiency to meet time and budget goals. His versatile expertise spans multiple industries, including government, automotive, consumer packaged goods, and industrial sectors like manufacturing. Rob is skilled in harmonizing regulatory compliance with NextGen security solutions, including their application in industrial control systems.


Rob has provided and crafted tools that automate CISO services, building strategic partnerships with over 50 leading security manufacturers such as Palo Alto Networks and Cisco Networks to strengthen cybersecurity postures. He is the author of multiple patents, including “SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR AI-BASED THREAT PROCESSING” and another focused-on machine learning-enhanced external cyber exposure detection. These groundbreaking inventions leverage advanced machine learning and AI technologies to address critical industry challenges, enhancing threat detection and response capabilities. Rob’s innovative approaches in cyber threat intelligence packaging have significantly improved the accuracy and timeliness of threat alerts, solidifying his commitment to advancing global cybersecurity standards and operational excellence.

Ron West

Chief Operating Officer

Ron West has a distinguished 40-year history in the telecom and software industries. He was a key participant in the AT&T/Southwestern Bell leadership program and held significant roles, including being the 8th hire at Southwestern Bell Mobile Systems, now AT&T Wireless. Throughout his career, Ron has led several major initiatives for SBC and managed a $900M Texas business group, showcasing his ability to drive substantial growth and operational excellence.

As EVP at ATX Technologies, Ron spearheaded a remarkable revenue increase from $14M to $84M while fostering key partnerships within the auto industry. His tenure includes impactful roles as VP Sales at Tango Networks, where he successfully placed products with major carriers like T-Mobile, Sprint, and AT&T, and consulting with emerging software and tech-focused companies. Ron’s strategic vision and leadership have consistently delivered exceptional value, making him an invaluable asset to Beacon Technology Group.

Scott Marvel, VP

Scott Marvel brings over three decades of diverse experience in technology, analytics, and leadership to his role as VP – Strategic Relationships at Beacon Technology Group. As a business and technology executive, Scott has a proven track record of spearheading digital transformation and data management initiatives across various industries, including energy, telecom, and military sectors. His expertise in developing strategic alliances and delivering game-changing solutions is reflected in his previous roles at Nexus Cognitive Technology Services, EY, and the U.S. Army, where he served as a Lieutenant Colonel and received the Legion of Merit Medal.

Scott’s entrepreneurial spirit and client-centric approach have driven significant advancements in digital and analytical capabilities, leading to transformative outcomes for major firms such as IBM, EY, and Deloitte. Known for his innovative methodologies and leadership in AI and data analytics, Scott has developed and managed multimillion-dollar projects, consistently delivering exceptional value. James Box

Advisor to Board of Directors

James E. Box, a seasoned executive with over 30 years of experience in human resources and strategic planning, currently serves as an Advisor to the Board of Directors at Beacon Technology Group. Known for his servant leadership style, James has been instrumental in driving economic efficiency and strategic growth across various industries. His career includes significant roles at N.A.I. Corporation, where he served as CHRO & Chief Administrative Officer for 19 years, leading initiatives that resulted in substantial cost savings and improved operational efficiencies.

James has a proven track record of mentoring senior executives and developing positive relationships within leadership teams. His expertise spans M&A, compensation design, talent acquisition, performance management, and regulatory compliance. With a background that includes leadership positions at Austin Commercial, Raytheon E-Systems, and The Bombay Company, James has consistently delivered strategic and tactical business solutions. Additionally, James is a member of the Choctaw Tribe and has served as the head of all the tribes in the State of Texas. His ability to simplify complex issues and provide actionable solutions has made him a valued strategic partner to CEOs and boards alike.

Territory Sales Manager - US East (Remote)

Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy for the US East territory, targeting new business opportunities and expanding relationships with existing clients.
• Identify and engage potential customers, including enterprise clients and managed service providers (MSPs), to promote Beacon’s cybersecurity solutions.
• Collaborate closely with Solutions Architects to lead the enablement strategy for strategic partners, focusing on operations, support, sales, and technology integration.
• Drive joint sales initiatives with partners, leveraging Beacon’s industry-leading cyber intelligence products and services to meet market demands.
• Develop and manage a robust sales pipeline, from lead generation to closing deals, ensuring alignment with Beacon’s growth objectives.
• Provide detailed sales forecasts and performance metrics, ensuring transparency and accountability in achieving sales targets.
• Work closely with regional sales leaders and cross-functional teams to align on territory-based sales strategy, resources, and execution plans.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with senior leadership and stakeholders, both internally and externally, to drive strategic partnerships and business growth.


Requirements:
• Proven track record in cybersecurity sales, specifically with intelligence-based products and services.

Compensation:
Compensation for this role includes a base salary plus a variable component, together comprising the On-Target Earnings (OTE). The OTE is based on a 60/40 pay mix (base salary/target variable). The specific OTE range will be based on several factors, including relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.

Sr. Solutions Architect Industrial Systems (Remote)

Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, implement, and test security solutions for industrial systems, including advanced manufacturing systems and other complex environments.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to develop cybersecurity engineering tools, advanced simulations, and protection mechanisms using AI/ML software.
• Lead the development of state-of-the-art cybersecurity solutions for Defense and industrial applications, focusing on surveillance imaging platforms, maritime, and oil and gas.
• Provide expertise in computer and network security principles to safeguard systems from modern threats.
• Contribute to the creation of cybersecurity products that extend the state-of-the-art in Defense and industrial technologies.
• Engage in the full lifecycle of software development, from design and coding to debugging, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Ensure security solutions are robust and effective across different development platforms and architectures.


Requirements:
• BS or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 2+ years of progressive work experience in embedded software development, including systems programming, design, coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting targeting ARM or similar architectures.
• Strong knowledge of computer and network security principles such as cryptography and intrusion prevention.
• Proficiency in C/C++ programming with a focus on the design and implementation of security controls across various platforms.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, either as a self-starter or as part of a small team and execute complex development tasks with limited supervision.
• U.S. citizenship required. Must be eligible to obtain and maintain security clearance due to contractual requirements.


Preferred Experience and Certifications:
• Progressive experience developing and implementing computer and network security systems using Linux and real-time operating systems.
• Detailed knowledge of security features in operating systems, hypervisors, computing architectures, and System On Chip (SoC) devices.
• Security+, CISSP, or similar security certifications.

• Drive the adoption of Beacon’s cybersecurity solutions across federal government departments, positioning Beacon as a trusted advisor in the public sector.
• Expand current business, build new relationships, and grow Beacon’s footprint within key federal customers, ensuring they successfully leverage Beacon’s solutions across their organizations.
• Identify and develop new use cases, showcasing how Beacon’s solutions enable users to work more efficiently and securely.
• Collaborate closely with various Beacon business functions to ensure an exceptional customer experience.
• Proactively identify new business opportunities with customers, successfully navigating complex sales cycles.
• Develop a comprehensive business plan leveraging community, customer, and partner ecosystems to drive significant growth within your territory.


Requirements:
• Proven track record in cybersecurity sales across federal government departments, evidenced by quota overachievement and strong customer references.
• In-depth understanding and experience in selling solutions related to cybersecurity, threat intelligence, and cloud security.
• Adept at building relationships and establishing credibility with both developers and executives.
• Consistent and accurate sales forecasting skills.
• Prior experience selling into key federal government departments (e.g., Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, Department of Justice).
Preferred Experience and Certifications:
• Experience in selling within an open-source model.
• Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or similar.
